Class Rules

  • We will learn to listen to our own body. Only holding a yoga pose or doing an exercise as long as our bodies feel comfortable. Resting whenever we need to.
  • No touching other people’s bodies or fighting in class. We also do not say anything that may hurt anyone’s feelings.
  • Sharing is a must! The props belong to the studio or the teacher, who shares them with everyone.
  • No shoes on the yoga mats.
  • The mats stay on the floor in yoga, except in certain special poses.
  • One person per yoga mat so that we can stretch, bend, and twist without bumping into our friends. The only time we may share a yoga mat, is with our parents, or if we’re doing partner poses, as instructed by the teacher.
  • The prop cabinet is only for the teacher.
  • If you don’t feel like playing right now, that’s ok, but do not interrupt or disturb the rest of the class.
